St. Marys Kirtlington enjoys a fine ring of 8 bells, tenor 16-1-19 cwt.<\/p>\n

The ringing team has been revived in the past five years and holds weekly practices and monthly service ringing. Practice nights are Monday 7.30pm – 9.00 pm<\/p>\n

The treble and 7th bells recast and the peal tuned and rehung in 1938 by John Taylor & Co, Bellfounders & Bellhangers, Loughborough.<\/p>\n

Inscriptions (as best I can read the hand written notes in the tower):<\/p>\n

Treble: Robert Dashwood 1718. I was recast by the gift of the Diocesan Guild of Ringers 1938
\n2: Sir Robert Dashwood 1718. Recast by C & G Mears. London 1853
\n<\/span>3: Sing to the Lord a new song. Recast at the expense of the Parish 1870
\n4: His sound shall be heard in the Holy Place. Henry Bagley made this ring to beseech in the year of Our Lord 1718.
\n5:And the fifth sounded. HB 1718
\n6: The Kingdom of the world did -illegible- .Be it known to all that do me see that H Bagley he made me.
\n7: Christ shall reign for ever and ever. H. Bagley made me. 1718
